We are a Community of Caring.

Community of Caring is built around five core values, all rooted in our Catholic Faith, that empower young people to be responsible and caring members of a community:

Caring, Respect, Responsibility, Trust, and Family.

These five values serve as a foundation and umbrella for school activities and initiatives in Community of Caring schools.

By developing schools as caring, respectful, responsible, trustworthy and family-oriented communities, we put children, teachers and school staff at the center of education as the values are weaved into every aspect of school life and the existing curriculum.

We are fortunate, as a Catholic community, to be able to teach, guide and model the values of this program from a Catholic lens. These core values empower our students to be caring members of their community, to act responsibly, and to give back to society.

We are Stewards of Creation.

As people of Faith, we are convinced that "the earth is the Lord's and all it holds….We believe our response to global climate change should be a sign of our respect for God's creation. (Global Climate Change: A Plea for Dialogue, Prudence and the Common Good, US Catholic Bishops, 2001).

Today, our Catholic community is addressing more consistently and faithfully how to protect God's creation and the environment that sustains the human family and all the earth. As Pope John Paul II said, "respect for life and for the dignity of the human person extends also to the rest of creation, which is called to join man in praising God." We show our respect for our Creator by our care for His creation.
